Sand in everything
Sand does not sit on top of carpet, it works down into the backing and into the seat rails and belt channels. Vacuuming moves it around. Shampoo and hot water extraction is what actually lifts it out.
Pet hair woven in
A shedding double coat, a husky especially, gets spun into the carpet fibres and will not vacuum out. It takes time and the right tools. Tell us about the dog when you call so the quote is right the first time.
Kids, drinks and stains
Food, juice, sunscreen, salt water. Some of it lifts completely and some of it has set into the fibre for good. We will tell you which before you pay, not after.

What we won't promise
- Not every stain comes out. Sunscreen, dye transfer and anything that has bleached the fibre may be permanent, and we will say so when we look at it.
- Heavy pet hair and heavy sand add time. If your vehicle needs more than a standard interior detail we will quote it before starting rather than surprising you at pickup.
- Cracked or sun-damaged dash and trim can be cleaned and dressed, but not repaired.
Questions
- Can you really get all the sand out?
- In most vehicles, yes, and it is one of the most common jobs we do in Honolulu. Extraction pulls sand out of the carpet backing rather than just off the surface. If it has got into somewhere we cannot reach, we will tell you.
- How much does an interior detail cost?
- $250 for a car, $300 for an SUV or van, $375 for a truck or extended vehicle. Heavy pet hair or unusually rough condition is quoted after we see it.
- Do you remove pet hair?
- Yes. We have cleaned out everything from a single shedding dog to a back seat lined with a dog hammock. Mention the animal when you book.
- How long will it take?
- Plan on leaving the vehicle with us for most of the day. Dropping off in the morning is the usual arrangement, and we are in downtown Chinatown so you can leave the car and go to work.
- Do I need an appointment?
- Not for an estimate. Walk in during business hours and we will look at the vehicle and give you a price. For the detail itself, call (808) 782-1526 ahead so we can hold the bay.
