At Bo's Auto Detailing in downtown Honolulu, a basic hand wash is $50 for a car and a full interior and exterior detail starts at $400 for a car, $500 for an SUV or van and $600 for a truck.

The most complete option, a full detail with clay, machine buff and engine cleaning, is $550 for a car, $650 for an SUV or van and $750+ for a truck.
What changes the price
- Size. Every price has three columns: car, SUV or van, and truck or extended vehicle. Bigger vehicles take longer.
- Condition. Heavy sand, pet hair, stains and oxidized paint add time. Paint work like oxidation and water spot removal is quoted after we see the vehicle.
- Options. Engine cleaning and a machine buff add to a full detail. Individual services like headlight restoration are priced separately.

- Outside is dusty, inside is fine: Basic Wash.
- Lived-in but not in trouble: Wash, Vac & Dress.
- Stains, pet hair or sand in the carpet: Interior Detail.
- Paint feels rough or looks dull: Exterior Detail.
- It's been years, or you're selling it: Full Detail.
- Shipping it off island: Shipping Prep.
How long it takes
A wash, or a wash and vacuum, is quick. An interior, exterior or full detail usually means leaving the car with us for most of the day, so dropping it off in the morning works best. We're in Chinatown, so you can leave it on the way to work.
